Seminar on “Energy Management and Energy Audit” was organized on 04th September, 2018 by the department of Mechanical Engineering, Vishwaniketan’s Institute of Management Entrepreneurship & Engineering Technology (iMEET). The seminar was sponsored by Petroleum Conservation and Research Association (PCRA). The objectives of the seminar were as follows:
1.      Procure energy at lowest possible price
2.      Manage energy use at highest energy efficiency
3.      Reusing and recycling energy
4.      Select low investment technology to meet present requirement and environment condition
5.  Make use of wastes generated within the plant as sources of energy and reducing the component of purchased fuels and bills
6.      Careers in energy management and energy audit.
Dr. Santosh D. Dalvi (Ph.D., ME, BE in Mechanical Engineering) has conducted the seminar and following points were covered:

  •       Energy conservation examples
  •       Energy efficiency examples
  •       Quiz competition and prize distribution

This is an on road track event conducted by SAE  India from 15th July to 20th July, 2019 at Budhh International Circuit,  Greater Noida. Prof. Akash Bidwaik coordinated Mechanical department students as a faculty advisor. The competition is conducted in 2 different ways,  1.Static Event, which has design report,  cost report, business presentation  2.Dynamic events which consists of acceleration test, brake test , skidpad test, autocross, and final event endurance. BHANDARDARA HYDROELCTRIC PLANT VISIT

 Department of Mechanical Engineering arranged an industrial visit for B.E. students to Bhandardara Hydroelectric power plant on 5th & 6th October. Total 45 students attended th visit along with three faculty members. It was a nice blend of practical knowledge and natures beauty.

Prof. Khandekar Sir's visit to PRICOL TECHNOLOGIES LTD

  On 22nd Sept 2017 a three member team from VISHWANIKETAN comprised of Mr Dhananjay Khanzode,Director VIC, Ms Shalini Singh ( TPO ) and Prof Anand Khandekar visited PRICOL Technologies Limited, PUNE office at Bawdhan , Pune.The meeting was attended by Mr Prabhakar Neelkant, Consultant- Technical and Training , their HR personnel and Mr Vivekananda Challa, Practice Manager, Engineering and Design ( via SKYPE ) as representatives from PRICOL Technologies.             Prof Anand Khandekar initially briefed them about VISHWANIKETAN, its philosophy and the entire Project Based Learning Cycle. They were informed about the BUSINESS club and its methods, the SE presentations and the TE group discussions. In addition the entre VAP process and its functioning was explained.
